Butlers Farmhouse has a lovely garden which Irene opens to the public under the National Gardens Scheme (the Yellow Book) in the Spring and the Summer.

The garden has been featured both in Sussex Life and Amateur Gardening magazines in 2009, with Amateur Gardening doing a special feature on Irene’s poison Garden, an idea taken from Alnwick Castle gardens in Northumberland. See the Youtube video for a guided tour.

   
In 2011 the opening dates for the NGS will be:

Saturday and Sunday the 2nd/3rd April and Saturday and Sunday the 13th/14th August from 2pm to 5pm.

We are also opening for St Michael’s Hospice Hastings on the 7th June.
